This part of the movie just absolutely breaks my heart. Ralph is receiving what is most likely the first hug of his life where he doesn’t get rebuffed or scolded.
Imagine. Years and nobody ever hugged you or even showed an ounce of caring.
Vanellope was openly bullied and couldn’t escape her own game because she was ‘a glitch.’
She needed Ralph as much as he needed her.
So this moment, when she asks him to stay in Sugar Rush with her isn’t just some cliche movie hug. It’s most likely the first hug either one of them has ever received.
